February this year, i made my second trip to Mexico city. Last year i took a week and ventured around Coyoacan, Mexico with the International Watercolour Society of Canada (IWS Canada)
This year, same venue for the first week, and the second week, we took a bus to San Miguel de Allendes, which is north of Mexico city and known as the center of Mexico.
I was pleasantly surprised on the diversity, very little pollution, many more english speaking people and overall…more sun ! As a Canadian Norwegian I do seek out the sun when ever possible.
We toured around for the week, and visited local eateries, artisan markets, la gruta spa and shopped to our hearts content.
The inspiration of the colonial styled churches fascinated me, and i found i took way more photographs then i usually do, with the intension to paint a lot in the next coming year.
here are few of my watercolour paintings i worked on while in Mexico

More to come on Mexico… stay tuned
